I am in need of updating my pots and pans, but I don’t have the budget for All-Clad and I would prefer “healthy” non-stick type pans rather than all stainless steel. And they’re not just for kids: I find them quite addictive, particularly as an afternoon pick-me-up with a cup of coffee. PS, this would be a great recipe to make as a gift for a new mama.

He loves them! For some reason I cannot find unsweetened coconut in grocery stores here. Some tension. We could make these together! Have you ever felt this dilema of how to name your local food in English? I have used a soft variety of dates in this recipe, if using mejdool or other variety, do soak the dates in water to soften them which will make it easier while processing them . Added whole flax seeds to help with crunch. Toasting the oats adds an extra layer of YUMMY!
All these ingredients will provide a great amount of protein to your body. We’re not big fans of dates and coconut.

I can see a LOT of sangeeta Khanna inspired recipes on ur blog (if you get my drift ) and these are amazing laddoos too ! Refrigerate the mixture for 5 to 10 minutes, or until cool enough to handle.
Fat, both butter and ghee are used in the recipe, if vegan, go for vegan butter/ghee. I made these this weekend…they were AMAZING! These balls are an excellent source of protein and energy.
Mix well and make balls out of the mixture. The only ingredient that seems to need refrigeration is the flax.

Glad I stumbled upon this recipe and tried it by using what I had on hand. Walnuts not almonds. This recipe is a keeper! When combined, it produces a soft, gooey, fudge-like texture. (Please keep in mind that I haven’t tried them with these tweaks.) Did you by any chance make any substitutions?

Heating up the peanut butter, dates, honey, vanilla, and water definitely made it a lot easier. Shape them into balls or squares and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. These are just delicious, Jenn, and healthy to boot! I’ve even made them without first toasting the oats & nuts, and we like them just as well! I don’t think Jenn has a bad recipe. I’ve made these “unbaked “ many times and loved them. I used a mix of hemp, chia, flax seed vs plain flax as I keep that on hand for smoothies and oatmeal topping.
